Be sure to brighten up your dreary February to come along to this one-off raunchy cavalcade as it’s PAY WHAT YOU CAN!  We harassed ring-mistress Lolo Brow until she gave in and let us interview her bad ass.

Tell us about your favourite secret/offbeat places in London?

jamboreeMy favourite is probably the Jamboree, it’s tucked away in Limehouse, round the corner from where I live. It’s not so off beat now I guess but it’s got good art, drink and spectacular live music which always makes me happy as a well fed clam. The crowd it draws are always brilliantly lovely and creative. Have many a time been caught in an impromptu jam session.

Also there is a cafe style thing at the top of my road called the departure. It has an amazing book exchange and lots of free art classes, it’s more a community centre than anything. You can use the sewing machine for cheepieees and their coffee is spot on.

What offbeat events are on your To Do List in the next month or so?

imageI want to:

  • Get my flaming pit of a bedroom sorted and tidied I might actually find my missing costumes.
  • See DreamThinkSpeak’s piece at Somerset House. Heard its pretty dam awesome.
  • Make my Pet Dragon a pair of wings to wear.
  • Go to Sleaze, at the Lockside Lounge in Camden. A naughty devil of show hosted by Trix Malish and Matt Fraser, comedy gold usually.
  • Check out Cabaret Roulette on February 13th, a spectacular show at Madame Jojo’s run by the beautiful Vivacity Bliss. Artists are given a theme chosen by the audience a month earlier, then artists come back with a completely tailor-made show!
  • Head along to the Save Rubyyy Jones Revue on February 22nd. A fabulous Cabaret evening that is hosted once a month at The World’s End Finsbury Park.
  • Pop in to Bar Wotever at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern on a Tuesday (any Tuesday), they are always fun.

What are your favourite things to do for free or little money in London?

I love the V&A it’s one of my favourite places in London to be surrounded by such delicious amounts of history and art it makes me all giddy. Also I love to walk along the South Bank late at night, it’s free and beautiful. Not just because the pretty lights and building, because of the people. You see tourists seeing London for the first time and it’s magical like watching a baby take its first steps. That, and I love to watch the pissed folk of the wealthier London fall on their asses.

What’s your ultimate London confession?

When I am out of London, I miss the sounds of this massive creaking concrete mother so much that I fantasize about sirens, airplanes and drunken shouting to help me sleep. Sad but very true. That and once spent a day just riding on the tube, trying to make people laugh by telling the worst jokes I knew… What did the cheese say when he looked in the mirror?…. Haloumi (hallooo-mee)! I did this for myself, just a little kick.

What event or product of your own would you like to pimp on To Do List?

I would love you pimp my darling show, Cabaret Derangium on February 7th at Marylebone Gardens. It is an interactive cabaret filled to the brim with art, exhibition, fire, comedy music and burlesque. It is a show that has been close to my heart for a long time and it is a raunchy laugh for all the excitable yet slightly condemned souls of London.
